Leather Care

Pigmented Leathers (including Protected Aniline Leathers):
Use lukewarm water and mild soap (non abrasive) to clean.  Work up some suds and go over the surface with a soft cloth.  Rinse off any soap with clean water and toweling.  The leather may dry dull, but rubbing with a clean towel can restore normal gloss.  Never use saddle soap, furniture polish, oil, varnish, ammonia, or cleaning solvents on these leathers.  There are special products that can help remove lipstick or ink spots from pigmented leather.

Non-Pigmented Leathers (including Pure Aniline & Semi-Aniline leather):
If you get any food on these leathers, get it off as best you can with a dry cloth, without wiping it into the leather and then leave it alone.  The spot should dissipate into the leather in a short time.  Do not try to clean with water.  Never use saddle soap, furniture polish, oil, varnish, ammonia, or cleaning solvents.  For additional care, consider purchasing a leather care cleaning kit.

Nu-buk and Suede Leather:
We do not recommend using nu-buk or suede leather on furniture because of the ease at with it can be stained.  Hair oils, body oils and water can leave permanent stains on the leather.  Today’s Micro-fibers will give similar feel and are very stain resistant.
